Payments:
We’re so glad you’re joining us, and we want to make the process as smooth and simple as possible for you!
To reserve your spot in class and set up your account, there’s a one-time, nonrefundable registration fee of $25 per enrollment. Tuition is then billed in equal monthly payments.
Starting in September 2025, monthly tuition will be:
$92 for 45-minute classes (Levels F, 1, 2, 3 & All Ages)
$105 for 60-minute independent classes (Level 4)
Payments are processed on the 1st of each month.
We also offer sibling discounts:
20% off when siblings are in the same class
10% off when they’re in different classes
Your enrollment continues automatically each month until you let us know otherwise (see below for details).

Schedule & Closures:
Please note that tuition isn’t based on a set number of classes each month. Instead, it covers a total of 44 classes over the year—so some months may have 3 classes, while others may have 5, depending on the calendar.
We follow Tacoma Public Schools for most holiday breaks and any weather-related closures.
Classes are held weekly, except during our scheduled school-wide breaks:

Sick Policy & Makeup Classes:
If your child isn’t feeling well, please keep them home—we want everyone to stay healthy! The good news is, we offer a flexible makeup policy to help you stay on track.
To receive makeup credit, just let us know at least one hour before class begins. You can find step-by-step directions for reporting absences HERE.
A few helpful reminders:
Makeups are available only for currently enrolled students
They can’t be carried over or used after withdrawal
Please try to use them within one month of the missed class
We allow up to 6 makeups per school year, but if something unexpected comes up, we’re happy to talk—just reach out to the Director
We’re here to support your family’s busy life, and we’re always happy to help if you have any questions!
Enrollment Timing:
You may enroll at any time during the month or year! The first month’s tuition will automatically be prorated.
Unenrolling/ Withdrawing from class:
If you need to take a break from classes, we totally understand! To make the transition smooth, just send us written notice by the 15th of your final month.
If we receive your unenrollment request after the 15th, we may not be able to stop the upcoming payment, and tuition will still be charged on the 1st. Since we begin processing things early, we’re unable to offer refunds at that point.

If you decide to return later in the same school year, we’d love to welcome you back! Just know that we can’t guarantee your spot in class, and a $25 re-enrollment fee will apply to reactivate your family’s account with Kindermusik International.

Refunds:
While we’re not able to offer refunds for missed classes, we’re happy to help you make up any missed time—as long as we receive notice.

Preview & Trial Classes:
We’d love for you to give our classes a try! If you see an open spot, go ahead and enroll—you’ll be covered by our New Family Satisfaction Guarantee.
Join us for your first class, and if you find it’s not the right fit for your family, just let us know within 24 hours. We’ll give you a full refund—no questions asked.
We’re here to make sure you feel great about your experience from the very start!
Bringing Siblings to Class:
We understand that family life is busy, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to participate!
Non-mobile infants (up to 6 months old) are welcome to join their sibling’s class at no extra charge. We recommend babywearing or using an infant carrier so you can stay hands-free and fully engaged with your enrolled child.
We also know that older siblings occasionally have school closures. If that’s the case, they’re welcome to come along with a quiet activity or book—there’s a cozy table and seating area where they can hang out during class.
For the safety and comfort of everyone, children under the age of seven aren’t able to participate in our infant and baby classes, since these sessions involve sensitive floor time and a calm environment.
However, siblings of all ages are welcome to join in the “family time” portion (the final 15 minutes) of Level 3 and Level 4 classes!
And of course, grandparents and other adult relatives are always welcome to visit and enjoy the fun with us anytime. We love having the whole family involved!

Materials & Supplies
We love helping the music continue at home! When you register, you'll gain access to Kindermusik’s digital home materials—plus the option to purchase coordinating CDs and books if you'd like a physical touchpoint for your family.
Our core instruments are always provided during class, but if your little one falls in love with a favorite shaker or bell, we have optional instruments available for purchase in the studio too!
Everything is designed to help you make joyful music and memories, both in class and at home.
Creating a Positive Classroom Environment
Our classroom is a joyful, welcoming space where children can explore, grow, and experience the magic of music in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe that children thrive when they feel supported and free to learn at their own pace.
If your child needs a moment, we kindly ask that you step out to the front lobby or bathroom to regroup—rather than addressing behavior in front of the class. This helps protect the positive energy of the space and ensures every child feels safe and encouraged.
We ask that you avoid physical or verbal discipline during class. Unless there's an immediate safety concern, please refrain from raising your voice. A gentle, whispered reminder or a quiet redirection is often much more effective—and far less disruptive for everyone.
And remember: positive reinforcement goes a long way. Celebrate your child’s efforts, big or small, and focus on what’s going well. Every child learns in their own unique way, and we’re here to support that journey together. There’s no need for every child to do the same thing—our classes are built to honor different learning styles and personalities.
