“Around the Farm” Put on your overalls and boots because it’s time to visit the imaginary farm! We’ll waddle like ducks, moo like cows, go on a hayride, and listen to the wind blowing in the corn. As we play, sing, and dance, we’ll strengthen our fine- and gross-motor skills, develop inhibitory control, explore timbre, and so much more. Get ready to discover all there is to see, hear, and do Around the Farm!

“In My Garden” The sun is shining, birds are singing, insects are buzzing and critters are sniffing, wriggling, chirping, hopping, and burrowing. We'll buzz like bees, fly like butterflies, and sing like birds to discover the hidden delights of our backyards through listening, singing, movement, and pretend play. Come along – it's a beautiful day "In My Garden"!

“Splash” Ahoy there, Mates! It’s time to leave the rocky shores behind and dive into a sea of pretend-play experiences. This unit’s adventures are all about water! We’ll float down the river, and sail through smooth and choppy waters as we learn about patterns, number concepts, steady beat, and rhythm. We’ll expand our spatial awareness as we waddle to the water like penguins, swim to the surface like fish, and row, row, row our boats. Water-themed songs and dances will spur our imaginations and bring the learning to life!

“Join the Parade”  In Join the Parade, everyone gets to be in the band! Move to parade and march music, learn to identify woodwind instruments, learn about music concepts piano (quiet) and forte (loud), and meet Henry, who creates his own musical parade…by accident! PLUS lots of fun crafts to make our own marching band!

“Carnival of Music” We're off to the circus! This circus-styled musical adventure combines singing and movement with storytelling to engage your child's cognitive and language development. Silly characters and engaging plot lines will tickle their funny bones! You'll love the academic elements while your child giggles and sings her way through the circus.

In Drums, Drums, Drums, we’ll focus on drums, percussion instruments, and music from Africa and South America as we clap, tap, move, play, and echo different rhythms. You’ll learn to recognise the sights and sounds of many different drums, play a drum, and get up and move your body to the rhythms, too!

What you’ll experience in Levels 3 & 4:

Singing songs.  From the Hello Song to the Goodbye song, we’ll give these big kids lots of opportunities to develop their singing voices and to express themselves in song.

Instrument play.  Exploring and playing instruments like sticks, bells, drums helps strengthen fine motor skills while development listening skills and an ability to play along with a steady beat.

Creative movement. Movement is an essential part of all Kindermusik classes, but especially in our big kids’ classes  where children are learning to feel the music and express themselves through movement.   Music plus movement is a powerful learning facilitator.

Musical concepts and composers.  The learning becomes more specific with greater application and learning as we explore some of the fundamental concepts of music and learn a little about some of music history’s greatest composers and compositions.

Pre-keyboard activities.  These budding musicians are more than ready for some pre-keyboard learning, including simple keyboard geography and applying basic musical concepts to the keyboard.

Kindermusik@Home.  All-new, cutting-edge digital Home Materials contains an abundance of unit-specific, age-appropriate materials and activities - all tied to the class content. The digital home materials are built specifically to make it fun and easy to connect class-time to home-time, enriching both experiences.
